Hanumangarh Tourism

The Hanumangarh district was formed on 12.7.1994 from the than Ganganagar district as 31st district of Rajasthan state. Seven tehsils of Ganganagar districts of Bikaner division viz. Sangaria, Tibi, Hanumangarh, Pilibanga, Rawatsar, Nohar and Bhadra were included into the newly created district of Hanumangarh.

BHANTNER FORT
   The old name of Hanumangarh was Bhatner, which means "fortress of the Bhati". Believed to be 1700 years old, it is considered to be one of the oldest forts of India.

   The ancient fort situated on the bank of River Ghaggar was built between 255 AD to 285 AD by the King Bhupat of Bhati Dynasty.There he constructed a safe castle for himself which came to be known as Bhatner. The entire fort is built of bricks, covering an area of 52 bighas.

GOGAMEDI
   The famous temple of Lokdevata Shri Gogaji is located in Gogamedi of Nohar tehsil of Hanumandarh district of Rajasthan.

   Gogaji's marble mausoleum is built and located in the sanctum sanctorum of the said temple. Gogaji's temple is a symbol of communal harmony, and visitors from all religions, including Hindus and Muslims, come here. Gogamedi hosts an annual Mela (Lakkhi Mela) every year, which lasts from Shravan Purnima (Raksha Bandhan) to Shraddapada Purnima month for 1 month.

MASITANWALI HEAD
    Masitanwali is a Village in Tibbi Tehsil in Hanumangarh District of Rajasthan State, India. It belongs to Bikaner Division . It is located 32 KM towards East from District head quarters Hanumangarh. 19 KM from Tibbi. 360 KM from State capital Jaipur
KALIBANGA
   Kalibanga is an Indus language word made up of Kali + Banga (black colored bangles). Kali means black and Banga means bangles.

   Kalibanga is an ancient and historical place in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan . Important remains of the Indus Valley Civilization have been found here . Kalibanga was a small town. A fort has been found here. In the ancient Drashdvati and Saraswati river valleys, the ancient Kalibanga civilization flourished and flourished even more than the Indus civilization in the area of the Ghaggar river . Kalibanga is believed to be more ancient than 4000 BC.

SILA PEER MATA
    The old Sila MataSila Peer Temple is a mark of communal harmony. Located close to the bus stand of Hanumangarh City, the idol of this temple is worshipped by Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims.The Muslims revere the stone as Sila Peer and the Hindus worship it as Sila Mata. It is popularly believed that the water and milk offered to the deity is capable of curing all skin diseases, if it can be applied.
DESERT OFFROADING RAIDERS
    Located in Rawatsar tehsil, 48 km from the district headquarter. Where on behalf of the Desert Raiders Club of the district, in collaboration with the District Administration and Tourism Department, drive and offroading is being organized in the third weekend of Jhatka since 2017. In which hundreds of tourists from many states including Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan come here to enjoy camping and offroading.
BHADRAKALI
    On the behest of Emperor Akbar, Maharaja Ram Singh of Bikaner built a temple in honour of Goddess Bhadrakali on the banks of Ghaggar River in Hanumangarh. Being one of the few old Kali temples in India, this shrine attracts numerous pilgrims from Rajasthan and nearby states of Haryana and Punjab. Special days for visiting this temple are the Navratras.
GURUDWARA
    Hanumangarh is a secular town, and the existence of Gurudwara Shri Sukha Singh-Mehtab Singh is a testimony. It is a historic place of worship for the Sikh community built in the 18th century. On every Amavasya day of the Hindu lunar calendar, the Gurudwara hosts the “Jod-Mela” for devotees, pilgrims, and tourists.
BRAHMANI MATA
   The town has temples of Mata Brahmani, Saraswati and Mahakali. It is built on the threshold of the old fort. Mata has far-reaching recognition. There is a flow of devotees throughout the year. The sculptures installed in the temple clearly reflect the Jain style of carving. The statues found were mostly engraved with Jain Tirthankaras, that’s clearly shows that earlier Jainsim was the most popular in this region. Presently Hinduism is practice widely.
